Our History: Where we started
Roots Kindergarten and Primary started in June 2014 as a Daycare center. Our first play group class started in 2015 with seven learners. The school continued to grow with the main focus being providing a strong foundation in all developmental areas. That is Physical,spiritual, social/emotional and mental.
The founder of the school Mrs Esther Mohindra started the school after teaching for fifteen years. Her driving force was to reach out to children in their everyday life by providing a loving environment founded on Biblical values.

The Present: Where We are
After running as a kindergarten for four years, in 2019, we started the primary level with our first grade one class . Currently, our primary classes are upto grade six. Our conviction on providing the right environment continues even to our primary school. Our learners are confident, always ready to learn and very creative!

The Future: Where we aim to be
Roots aspires to inspire as many learners as God will allow us to. As we grow to higher academic levels, our founding principles of a loving environment and moulding an all rounded person remains.

Roots Kindergarten and Primary is under the leadership of Mrs Esther Mohindra since its founding. She is assisted by the headteacher and skillful, fully trained staff, both teaching and non-teaching staff

Director's Note
The foundation of almost everthing we do matters a lot. A plant with a good foundation ends up being stable since its roots are strong enough to hold it firmly through life. That is where the name ROOTS came from. Formative years, 0-8 years, are very crucial to a childs life. Roots school is very keen on this and we therefore provide a stimulating and loving environment for holistic growth and learning. Welcome to Roots a school where confidence and stability begin!
